Anxiety Counseling

Having racing thoughts, overthinking and feeling overwhelmed?

Managing Worry and Taming Anxiety.

Anxiety can always be difficult to explain. It takes many forms and has many triggers, but it ultimately boils down to feeling worried or nervous about the future. Or it could be a feeling of looming uncertainty in general. In addition, anxiety may also look like procrastination, indecisiveness and difficulties saying no and an overloaded schedule (fear of being a bad friend or letting people down). You may be feeling overwhelmed with trying to keep up with self-appropriated high standards, an all or nothing thinking style or even feel a pressure to be successful in all areas of life. Perhaps you even find yourself comparing yourself to your friends and their careers, relationships and life. Maybe you’re concerned about where you’re at in life and thinking you’re not enough.

All these things may contribute to anxiety and worry. So how do we tame this anxiety? I have a million and one skills to help you lower your anxiety like deep breathing and mindfulness. We will also learn to challenge and reframe your anxious thoughts and therefore lowering your anxiety. We will walk together through your fears, worries, and self-doubts and reduce your anxiety to a level where you can cope with it instead of it controlling you.
