Struggling with who you are and what you want out of life.

Being a millennial means there is a great deal going on at one time in your life; mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

At times you might feel like there is no one or no simple answer to help you figure out your career, your finances, your current life experiences, or even your relationships with family and friends. You’re trying to make this “Adulting” thing look easy.

But inside there might even be a greater struggle and turmoil.

You might be struggling with where you think you should be in life, comparing yourself often to others and telling yourself you’re not good enough.

Most of the time you are your own worst critic. Even though you want to voice more of your thoughts and opinion, you tend to worry what others will think of you.

Do you find yourself worrying about everything, even things you know don’t even matter?

I’m ready to help

Hi, I’m Laura and I’m excited you found my page. I love working with young adults and millennials.

You each have a special place in my heart and I feel blessed I get to be part of each one’s journey.  I provide counseling in an emphatic, compassionate and collaborative environment.

As a therapist, I partner with you to help you become more self-aware, strengthen and empower your mindset, learn new problem solving and coping skills.

I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy which explores relationships among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This therapy helps in discovering dysfunctional thought patterns leading to negative behaviors and beliefs.

I also utilize Interpersonal Therapy, which is a form of therapy where we learn to improve your relationships with others by learning to express your emotions and solve problems in healthier ways. Interpersonal therapy also helps you to resolve or adapt to troubling life events, build social skills and organize your relationships to increase support for coping with mental health struggles and life stressors.

In addition, I may also use other approaches/techniques to best suit your needs like:

Assertiveness

Anxiety reduction

Family of origin

Mindfulness

Mood management

Self compassion

Shame resiliency

Stress management
